Rabble for Twitter
Rabble is a project inspired by Balaji Srinivasan's $10,000 BTC bounty for building a Twitter app that would help him and others monetize their followers. The app was designed to take in a Twitter API key, download all of the users followers, rank them by some criteria, and send each a direct message within the rate limits of the Twitter API guidelines. I was able to deploy a working prototype to Heroku in two weeks that performed to the specifications and allowed export of your users to a csv file. I competed against approximately 30 other individuals and teams submitting their own projects. Use cases include mass direct messaging followers for email newsletter sign ups, location based talks or events for influencers, or reaching out to companies & groups at scale to grow your twitter network using this automated app. Possible future iterations could integrate machine learning models on followers, such as Natural Language Processing for comments made on a tweet you've posted.
